How to use Mineral Makeup
5 easy steps to a flawless face
Worried that mineral makeup is complicated and won’t achieve the same look as traditional makeup? Don’t worry! We’ve put together a simple tutorial to walk you through the application so you can wear your mineral makeup with confidence.
Step 1: Primer
Why primer? A makeup primer is your secret weapon to smoothing lines, filling pores, and giving you a smoother finish. Your makeup will last much longer when applied over a primer. Make sure you let it dry before applying your foundation.
Step 2: Foundation
Tap a small amount of foundation into the jar lid and swirl your kabuki brush into the minerals until it picks up enough product. Gently tap off the excess into your lid. Apply using small circular motions or downward strokes depending on the level of coverage you’re after. The best way to control the coverage is to build it in layers.
Why a kabuki brush? We love the kabuki brush as it’s designed to give you beautifully smooth application of your powder. It’s not the only brush that will work, but keep in mind that the quality of your brush will make a big difference in how your foundation applies!
Step 3: Concealer
If you want a higher level of coverage or need to disguise some problem areas, use our all natural concealer wherever you need it. While our mineral foundation can act like a concealer and foundation in one, we know that some days you just need a little bit of extra help to feel flawless!
Step 4: Bronzer or Blush
Step 5: Illuminiser
For a bit of extra magic, try brushing some illuminiser over the top of your cheekbones and even over your eyebrow bone and bridge of your nose. Use it sparingly as a little goes a long way.
Bonus tip: Use a setting powder for oil control and even longer lasting freshness!
